WEYBURN, SK -- The Weyburn Beavers are pleased to announce the signing of Dan Grant as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming WMBL season.
Grant is in his first year as an assistant coach at Vancouver Island Baseball Institute in Nanaimo, British Columbia, after a playing career that earned him the honors of being inducted into the Parkland College Athletic Hall of Fame in January of 2011.

While at Parkland College he led the team to the 2002 NJCAA World Series Championship on his way to be named World Series MVP. He moved on to play at Division 1 University of Northern Iowa where he led the Panthers in RBI’s, homeruns, on base percentage, and second in batting average in his senior year.
In 2008, Grant won the WMBL batting title and was named league MVP while playing for the Sherwood Park Dukes.
Grant is looking forward to helping Head Coach Angelo Nicolosi put together a Beavers team that can contend for a league title in an increasingly competitive WMBL.
