Synopsis of Summer Season
Matt was the best pitcher in the Cal Ripken League this past summer, and he was integral in the Big Train winning the league championship this summer.

Matt was tied for first in wins with 5 and he led the league with a 0.82 era in 55 innings of work for Bethesda. He allowed just 31 hits, walked an incredibly low 6 batters and was third in the league with 46 strikeouts. He also held the opposition to a .161 batting average.

He was named to the Cal Ripken League All-Star Game, and I ranked him as the best pitcher in the league this summer. View my list here.  BA ranked him as the 8th best prospect in the league, while PG ranked him as the 4th best in the league. Lastly, at the conclusion of the season, the Cal Ripken League named him the Most Outstanding Pitcher.
