On the Autograph Front For May 19th

Although we are not huge fans of the UT Longhorns, my son and I still root for teams and players from this Great State. We were extremely fortunate to receive a couple autographs from a former Longhorn, who also happens to be one of the hottest pitchers right now.

Adrian Alaniz was a star for the University of Texas. He was drafted by the Nationals in the 8th round of the 2007 draft. Adrian is currently pitching for the Potomac Nationals. He should soon be promoted to AA, as he his currently 5-0, with a 2.57 era in 42 innings of work.

Adrian also answered a few questions for us as well.

1. Who was your favorite baseball player when you were younger?
Alex Rodriguez

2. What were some of your memories of playing for the Longhorns?
Pitching a no-hitter & winning CWS in 2005

3. While at UT, were you able to play summer ball? If so, where?
In the Texas Collegiate League-for the Coppell Copperheads

4. Of all the professional parks you've pitched in, which one is your favorite?
Brooklyn, NY -home of the Cyclones
