DANVILLE, VA - Junior Joe Devlin (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) tossed a complete-game and senior first baseman Jon Crews (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) was 4-4 with a two-run homer as the Hornet baseball team stayed in the winner's bracket of the NCAA South Regional with a 9-1 win over Piedmont College in the opener for both teams. Summer Ball News and Notes
**Jeff Taylor went 1 for 3, with a run scored. He will be playing for the Carolina Chaos of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League this summer.
**Pat Devlin improved his record to 9-0, with the complete game win yesterday. He allowed 1 run, on 8 hits in 9 innings of work. He walked 3 and struck out 4 batters as well. Pat will be playing for the Herndon Braves this summer.
