Heckathorn Picks Up Award

MACON, Ga.--Sophomore Kyle Heckathorn has been named Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week by the conference office Monday morning. Heckathorn tied the KSU Division I record with 13 strikeouts against Jacksonville last Thursday night.

Heckathorn went seven innings against the Dolphins, allowing just one run on five hits. Nine of the final 12 outs the Ringgold, Ga., native recorded was via strikeout. His 13 strikeouts tied Justin Freeman's 13 strikeout performance against Belmont earlier this season which set the school record. Read the rest of the release here>>>
